Terms of service

What this is

Jubilee is software provided by SecureNet Fiber to municipalities for showing the live location of a vehicle during a community event, and for the related announcements, photo submissions and notifications.

For residents using a public map

The map is provided as-is for entertainment and community information. Arrival estimates are estimates: they are calculated from recent movement and do not account for roads, stops or weather. Do not rely on them for anything that matters, and do not use the map while driving.

If you submit a photo, you confirm you took it or have permission to share it, and that anyone identifiable in it is content for it to be published by the municipality. Submissions are moderated and may be rejected without explanation.

For municipalities

You are the controller of the data collected through your instance. You are responsible for the accuracy of your published information, for moderating submissions, for obtaining consent where your own policies or applicable law require it, and for how you use any contact list you build.

You are responsible for the security of accounts you create for your staff, and for removing access when someone leaves.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running during scheduled events but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. GPS, mobile networks and third-party map and social platforms are outside our control.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to submit false position data, interfere with other municipalities' instances, or use the service to harass anyone.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to municipalities using the service.
